We are delighted to be able to host a talk by Old Ayesburian Professor Sir Tim Besley CBE FBA (Phillips '79) at Aylesbury Grammar School on Wednesday 8 May at 7pm and we invite our Old Aylesburians to join us.
Professor Sir Tim Besley is an an academic economist who is School Professor of Economics and Political Science and Sir W. Arthur Lewis Professor of Development Economics at the London School of Economics. He is also a two year fellow at All Souls College, Oxford and since 2015 has been a commissioner on the National Infrastructure Commission.
It promises to be a fascinating and enjoyable evening and we anticipate it being a popular event so we encourage you to secure tickets promptly. Tim will give us an insight into his journey in the field of Economics and Political Science, the future of the social sciences as a career and its importance in an ever-changing economic and geopolitical climate.
