It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Tim Hancock. He was a beloved teacher of mathematics at Aylesbury Grammar School, where he served for 38 years, enormously respected by both staff and students alike, leaving a huge hole when he retired in 2014. Mr. Hancock was known for his kindness, patience, and unquestionable ability to explain things easily as well as his genius in the dark arts of timetabling! Always willing to give students the time, support and inspiration they needed, and instilling belief in their mathematical ability. In the staff room, Tim was renowned for his wonderful manners, quick wit and willingness to help out. He will be missed by many, and the AGS community will be poorer without him. Rest in peace, Mr. Hancock.
