We were delighted to welcome back OA Luc Hinson (Paterson '13) to present to our Sixth Form students, as part of our Inspirational Speakers programme.
The title of his talk was ‘Finding your own path’. Luc spoke about his journey through AGS and then moving on to the University of Leeds to study Spanish and International Relations. Whilst at university, he unleashed his creative side and was the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of a magazine. He did some work in PR and then became involved in research and brand strategy, eventually setting up his own company which has gone from strength to strength.
Luc’s main message was about trusting and believing in yourself and he ended his talk with some ‘truths’ – it is important to have an outlet, you are what you believe you are, you are not always going to feel comfortable, you are lucky to be a student at AGS and it is not always going to be easy. The students engaged incredibly well during the talk and asked some very reflective questions at the end – they gain so much when hearing about the journey of some of our OAs.
If you would like to get involved in our Inspirational Speakers Programme, we would love to hear from you! Please email development@ags.bucks.sch.uk to get in touch.
