Old Aylesburians Return for 1st XI Match on the New 3G Pitch

We were delighted to welcome back the Old Aylesburians for the annual football fixture against the AGS 1st XI, played for the first time on the School’s brand new 3G Pitch.

The match proved to be a closely contested affair, played in a competitive yet wonderfully sporting spirit. The current 1st XI secured a narrow 1–0 victory, with Jacob O’Neill scoring the decisive goal. The OAs came close to equalising late on but were denied when a penalty went wide, a moment that could easily have seen the game end in a draw.

A special highlight this year was the involvement of three sets of brothers:

Sam and James Duodu, lining up together for the OAs.

Jonny and Ollie Buckthorpe, playing on opposite sides.

George and Oscar Moore, also facing each other across the pitch.

It was a fantastic occasion and a privilege to see so many Old Aylesburians return to AGS.

We look forward to hosting this much loved fixture again next year.
