Medical Society

We were thrilled to welcome back one of our valued Old Aylesburians, Adi Roy (Hampden '18), who returned to speak with the School's Medical Society. Adi recently completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester and is set to begin his career as a Foundation Doctor in North Wales this August.

During his visit, Adi shared his journey beyond AGS, offering invaluable advice and practical suggestions for current students aspiring to enter the medical field. His talk was both engaging and insightful, providing attendees with a clear understanding of the application process and what it takes to succeed in medicine.

Adi embarked on his medical education at the University of Manchester. In 2022, he intercalated in immunology, furthering his expertise in a critical field of medical science. This year, he completed his medical degree and is eagerly awaiting his graduation ceremony this August. Adi's dedication to his studies and his passion for medicine were evident as he discussed his upcoming role in the Specialised Foundation Programme, which includes pursuing a master's degree in sports exercise and physiology.

Adi also expressed his keen interest in researching the preventative effects of exercise on cancer, a topic that resonated deeply with the students.

We look forward to following his career and are hugely grateful that in a 'full circle moment' he has inspired our current MedSoc students.

If you would like to get involved with Med Soc or return to speak at the School, please email development@ags.bucks.sch.uk. We are always delighted to hear from our Old Aylesburians.
