Old Aylesburian Paul Rogers (Ridley ’78) has celebrated the launch of his new book, What to Believe When You Don’t: A Secular Guide to Life, the Universe, and Happiness, an exploration of how to navigate meaning and wellbeing without relying on supernatural belief.

Paul's latest work invites readers to consider the complexities of human existence through a logical and natural lens. Blending expert analysis, data-driven insights, and engaging personal anecdotes, the book aims to make challenging ideas accessible while offering practical tools for living well and cultivating happiness.

The launch event, held on 24 October, brought together a strong gathering of Old Aylesburians in support of Paul’s achievement. Those in attendance included (from left to right):
Dave King (’78), Stephen Shipperley (Hampden ’77), Rob Last (Hampden ’78), Peter Ullmann (Denson ’77), Paul Rogers (Ridley ’78), Richard Gommo (Hampden ’82), Tim Coles (Denson ’77), Iain Digby (Paterson ’85), Jon Atkins (Phillips ’79), Steve Rogers (Ridley ’82), and Paul Hrycyszyn (Denson ’76).

The event offered an opportunity not only to mark the publication of the book, but also to celebrate the continued achievements and camaraderie of the Old Aylesburian community.

Congratulations to Paul on this impressive accomplishment.
