It is with great pleasure that we welcomed Obe Ejikeme (Phillips '99 and Aylesbury Grammar School Foundation Trustee) back to AGS as part of our Sixth Form Inspirational Speakers Programme.
Obe spoke to our Sixth Form about the importance of being financially literate in a hugely interesting and engaging talk. He shared his thoughts on the balance between spending, saving and investing. Finishing his talk with reflections linked to finance, about what he wished he had known when he was 18 – money isn’t the be all and end all, but certainly will be important, so being equipped with the key knowledge is essential for all young people.
With so many questions from our students for Obe to field after his talk, we know this was a very well received topic. Thank you to Obe for his continued support.
Such valuable messages and advice from experts such as Obe are critical in preparing our students for their next steps in life. Our programme of Inspirational Speakers is designed to focus on aspects of life outside of the classroom and encourage our Sixth Form to succeed in all that they do beyond AGS.
We are always delighted to hear from any OA's who would like to support our Inspirational Speakers Programme, please email development@ags.bucks.sch.uk for more information.
