On Monday 8th July, Year 12 Politics Society were joined by Old Aylesburian Tom Ward, a diplomat in the FCDO and previous offices as the First Secretary in the British High Commission of Pretoria and British Embassy in Dubai. He gave an insightful interview to inspire politics students of the workings of his department and the impacts of a new government. He answered frankly on issues as diverse as the war in Ukraine through to working with colleagues in other departments. He informed the students about the relevance of his degree in building positive diplomatic relations and the variety such a career could hold for them.
We are so grateful to Old Aylesburians like Tom who return to inspire the next generation of AGS students. Please email development@ags.bucks.sch.uk if you want to get involved with outreach at the School.
