Last Friday, July 12th, AGS was thrilled to welcome back Julian Atat (Lee '22) as the guest adjudicator for our Junior Public Speaking Competition. Following his success in his own Senior Public Speaking competitions at School, Julian was extremely well placed to judge this years entries.
The event drew an expectant audience of Year 7 students who were captivated by a diverse range of speeches from our accomplished (and brave!) speakers from Years 7, 8, and 9.
After an engaging series of presentations, Lee House emerged victorious. Julian Atat provided excellent, detailed individual feedback to all the speakers over the obligatory cup of juice and biscuits, setting them further on the right path for their budding speaking careers.
The event was a wonderful conclusion to the Watson Trophy for 2024, leaving everyone inspired and looking forward to future competitions.
We are incredibly grateful to Julian for his time and commitment to another excellent House Event.
