On Wednesday 9th July, Aylesbury Grammar School held its Junior Prize Giving, an evening dedicated to celebrating the achievements, growth, and hard work of our younger students over the past academic year.
We were delighted to welcome back Old Aylesburian Liam Hyde (Ridley ’15) as our guest speaker. Liam’s journey—from Head Boy at AGS to studying PPE at Oxford, leading in the healthcare and tech sectors, and now launching a pioneering mental health startup—is a powerful testament to purpose, resilience, and ambition. His message to students, “Try, Fail, Iterate (try again),” struck a chord with everyone in the audience, offering both inspiration and a reminder of the strength found in perseverance.
Set against a backdrop of summer sunshine, the event brought together students, staff, families, and friends in a joyful celebration of accomplishment. Congratulations to all our prize winners on their well-deserved recognition. We extend our sincere thanks to Liam for returning to AGS and helping make the evening such a memorable and uplifting occasion.
