The School community came together to celebrate the achievements of our junior students at this year's Junior Prize Giving, recognising their hard work, commitment and success throughout the academic year.
Congratulations to all of our prize winners on their outstanding accomplishments. Their dedication across academic studies, sport, the arts and wider school life reflects the values and spirit of Aylesbury Grammar School, and we look forward to following their continued success in the years ahead.
We were delighted to welcome back Old Aylesburian Dominic Butler (Hampden '05) as our Guest of Honour. Dominic delivered an engaging and thoughtful address that combined warmth, humour and practical wisdom, offering valuable encouragement to students as they continue their educational journey.
A particular highlight of the evening was Dominic's moving reading of Desiderata by Max Ehrmann, which provided an inspiring and reflective conclusion to his speech. His willingness to return to AGS and share his experiences made the occasion especially memorable for students, parents and staff alike.
After leaving AGS, Dominic went on to study History at the University of Sheffield, graduating with First Class Honours before qualifying as a corporate lawyer. He is now the Founder of Halcyon Development Partners, a residential development company specialising in co-living, where he leads deal origination, capital relationships and the overall management of the business. Having returned to Buckinghamshire, Dominic now lives locally with his wife and their two children.
We are extremely grateful to Dominic for giving back to the AGS community and for helping to make this year's Junior Prize Giving such a memorable occasion. His journey since leaving School is a wonderful example of the diverse paths our Old Aylesburians take, and we thank him for inspiring the next generation.
