Yesterday, Headmaster Mark Sturgeon and Development Director Alison Cox paid a special visit to former Headmaster K.D. Smith, who led Aylesbury Grammar School from 1967 to 1992. Now 96 years old, Mr. Smith remains remarkably active - enjoying daily walks and continuing to take a keen interest in all things AGS.
It was a joy to see him proudly sporting his AGS tie and claret jumper - still very much on brand and a true Aylesburian through and through.
Mr. Smith’s warmth, wit, and unwavering dedication to the school community remain an inspiration to all who know him. His legacy continues to resonate with generations of students and staff alike.
For more on Mr. Smith’s remarkable life and contribution to AGS, take a look at our article celebrating his 90th birthday, held at the School in 2019: KD-Smiths-90th-Birthday.
