We are excited to announce the opening of our brand-new PE classroom, designed to provide a dedicated workspace for students studying PE at GCSE level and beyond. This facility represents a significant investment in the development of our PE department and enhances the learning environment for our students.
Huge thanks to the tremendous AGS Site Team, Tony, Paul, Steve, Khurram and Martin for their incredibly hard work delivering ths project to such a high standard.
The new classroom offers a modern, comfortable space where students can deepen their understanding of Physical Education theory, preparing them for success in both exams and future sporting careers. Equipped with the latest educational resources, the classroom allows for a more focused and immersive learning experience, ensuring students have the tools they need to excel.
In addition to the student workspace, the new facility includes offices for our PE staff, offering them a professional environment to plan, collaborate, and support student development. This move has been a much-needed improvement for the department, and forms the first phase of our transformation of the Sport proposition at AGS.
Phase 2 is the creation of an all weather, multi-purpose pitch at the heart of our School, our Pitch In campaign, live now, is actively rasing funds to support this goal. At this point, September 2024, we have achieved 20% of our required total and over the next two years we hope to bring this vision to life.
The new PE classroom replaces the former caretakers' bungalows, which had become outdated and in need of renewal. The modern facility represents our commitment to providing the best possible learning environment for both staff and students.
We are thrilled with this new addition and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our PE program in the years to come.
